Course overview
Peripheral neuropathy resulting from vitamin B12 deficiency is a common yet frequently underrecognized condition that can lead to progressive and potentially irreversible neurologic damage if left untreated. Vitamin B12 plays a critical role in myelin synthesis, DNA production, and neurologic function. Deficiency may arise from malabsorption, inadequate dietary intake, medication effects, or underlying gastrointestinal disorders. This course provides healthcare professionals with comprehensive knowledge of the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic protocols, pharmacologic management, and prevention strategies related to vitamin B12 deficiencyassociated peripheral neuropathy.
