Trauma often becomes "locked" in the body and nervous system, leaving clients vulnerable to anxiety, intrusive memories, and dysregulation. This workshop provides clinicians with a trauma informed, neuroscience based framework for understanding how adverse experiences are encoded and maintained in the brain. Participants will explore psychosensory interventions, specifically Havening Techniques, as a tool to help clients reduce distress, promote regulation, and build resilience. Through a combination of lecture, demonstration, and guided practice, clinicians will learn how to integrate Havening into trauma treatment while attending to ethical considerations and scope of practice. Special emphasis will be placed on applications for attachment wounds, early loss, and affect regulation. This training is designed for licensed mental health professionals (LCSWs, LPCs, LMFTs, and related fields) seeking to expand their clinical toolkit with somatic and neurobiological approaches to trauma healing.
