This course provides an educational overview of sciatic nerve anatomy, common patterns of sciatic nerve dysfunction, and safe, non-invasive manual techniques used to support muscular relaxation and functional mobility. Participants learn to identify the sciatic nerve pathway, recognize reflex pain points, and observe compensatory patterns in the upper and lower body through instructor-guided demonstration and practice. The course emphasizes practitioner awareness, client communication, and responsible decision-making regarding when manual intervention may or may not be appropriate. Participants practice locating and addressing pain-related areas using approved soft tissue techniques while receiving real-time feedback from the treated individual under instructor supervision. Progress evaluation methods, including client-reported outcomes and observational assessment, are introduced. Upon successful completion, participants earn 18 CEUs for the core course content. In addition, 6 complimentary regulatory CEUs are provided as separate modules and certificates, for a total of 24 CEUs, including Prevention of Medical Errors, Professional Ethics, and Florida Laws and Rules. This course complies with Florida Board of Massage Therapy continuing education requirements.
