Course overview
Rasmussen Encephalitis (RE) is a rare, progressive chronic inflammatory neurological disorder characterized by unilateral brain inflammation, intractable seizures, and progressive neurological deficits. It primarily affects children, but adult cases are also reported. RE can result in hemiparesis, cognitive decline, and speech impairment if untreated. This course provides healthcare professionals with a detailed review of RE, including pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, pharmacologic and surgical management, and long-term outcomes
