Course overview

Electrolyte imbalances are common in acute and chronic care settings and can lead to significant morbidity and mortality if not promptly identified and managed. This course provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of electrolyte physiology, common imbalances, clinical manifestations, diagnostic evaluation, and evidence-based treatment strategies. Emphasis is placed on early recognition, safe correction, interdisciplinary care, and patient education to prevent complications and recurrence.
