Course overview
The objective of this program is to provide basic information about the Alzheimers disease and where it begins, the difference between dementia and Alzheimers, and common symptoms of both. This program will also evaluate some common stressors felt by both caregiver and Alzheimers patients. It will provide the reader with information about the value seeking an early diagnosis as well as laying out the differences between stages. We will explore the topic of ethics and the importance of evaluating ones own ethics as it relates to death and dying. This program will revisit the importance of developing effective communicating skills and behavioral issues seen with the Alzheimers disease individuals. The program will end will seek to understand what is involved in the grieving process and stress management.
