This course provides comprehensive, hands-on training in feline veterinary dentistry and oral surgery, with emphasis on feline oral anatomy, common dental and periodontal pathology, regional anesthesia techniques, and methodical extraction procedures. Participants will learn evidence-based approaches to feline tooth extractions, including mucogingival flap design, sectioning multi-rooted teeth, alveolar bone removal, use of dental luxators, alveoloplasty, and tension-free closure, as well as strategies for managing common complications. The program combines focused lectures with extensive wet lab experience using feline cadaver specimens, allowing participants to build confidence and technical skill in diagnosing feline dental disease and performing extractions.
