IAFNR Functional Neurology Weekends 3: The Lobes of the Brain: Higher-Order Integration

Course overview

Weekend 3 focuses on the Cortex and the lobes of the brain. By the end of Weekend 3, participants will be able to: Identify the functional roles of the lobes of the brain and the cortical networks within the brain. Demonstrate competency in cortical case interpretation and clinical application. Interpret case presentations to localize dysfunction within specific areas of the brain. Administer cognitive-motor assessment tools for processing speed, executive function, and visuospatial awareness. Design cortical activation drills for all areas of the brain and apply key principles of cortical neuroplasticity so they can develop multimodal rehab routines and individual home programs tailored to age, diagnosis and functional goals.
