Course overview

Delayed wound healing is a common and costly clinical challenge that affects patients across acute, long term, and community care settings. Failure to recognize contributing factors, accurately stage wounds, or implement evidence-based interventions can result in infection, hospitalization, limb loss, and increased mortality. This course provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive framework for identifying delayed wound healing, performing accurate wound assessment and staging, selecting appropriate debridement techniques, and implementing evidence based treatment strategies. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient centered care.
