Course overview
This course provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive overview of geriatric polypharmacy, including risk assessment, medication review protocols, deprescribing strategies, and patient-centered care approaches to optimize outcomes and safety.- Polypharmacy is a common and growing concern in geriatric populations. Defined as the use of five or more medications simultaneously, it increases the risk of adverse drug reactions, drug-drug interactions, hospitalizations, and decreased functional status.
