This monthly webinar series will present a systems-based introduction to veterinary histopathology. Each month, a different body system (Integument, Urinary, Reproductive, Cardiovascular, Endocrine, Pulmonary, Musculoskeletal, Digestive, Hemolymphatic, Nervous, and Special Senses [Eye and Ear]) will be introduced in a way that participants of any level of experience (veterinary students, interns, residents and/or anatomic pathologists) will be able to comprehend and further expand their knowledge of veterinary pathology. Each webinar will introduce the normal tissue architecture, histological features of each anatomic structure and highlight the response to injury of different tissues and cell types found within each system. Cumulatively, by the end of the series, participants will have learned about the embryologic development, structure, function, and response to injury of twelve body systems - As well as received an introduction to some species specific variations of different systemic components. Additionally, these webinars will introduce unique patterns and types of injury that are seen in certain organ systems (such as patterns of pneumonia and zonal patterns of hepatocyte injury).
