Course overview

Tennessee Physical Therapy Jurisprudence was designed to help therapy professionals ensure that they practice within the legal and ethical boundaries of Tennessee. Because physical therapy practice is also regulated at the state level, laws regarding the scope of practice, supervision, and patient care are constantly changing. This course was designed to promote a better understanding of current jurisprudence rules. The course includes the most recent version of the Physical Therapy Practice Act (Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 63, Chapter 13, Parts 1 and 3), the most recent version of the General Rules Governing the Practice of Physical Therapy (Official Compilation, Rules and Regulations, Chapter 1150-01), and the Board of Physical Therapy Policy Statements. The course also includes multiple case studies in order to more effectively apply the rules and regulations.
