This CE session provides a comprehensive overview of periodontal disease in companion animals, with emphasis on current therapies and emerging adjunctive treatments. Participants will gain foundational knowledge in disease pathogenesis, diagnostic staging, and standard treatment protocols, including closed and open root planing. The course then introduces PerioVive, a novel hyaluronic acid-based biomaterial shown to promote wound healing, reduce inflammation, and support tissue regeneration in periodontal and post-extraction sites. Clinical applications, supportive studies, and guidelines for practical integration are included to help improve clinical outcomes in veterinary dentistry.
