Course overview

*Discuss acupuncture literature about ankle sprain treatment. *Propose an acupuncture treatment paradigm for treatment of commonly seen lower extremity disorders. *Review the anatomy of the Achilles tendon. *Discuss the the anatomy of acupuncture points used in lower extremity injury management. *Discuss the the neuroanatomy of acupuncture points used in lower extremity injury management. *Review the biomechanics of how some injuries in the lower extremity occur. *Demonstrate some acupuncture techniques for increasing hip extension.
