Course overview
This training aims to equip professionals in addiction treatment and other helping professional settings with the essential skills to prevent and manage behavioral outbursts through effective de-escalation techniques. Participants will gain insights into the triggers of such outbursts and learn evidence-based strategies to create a therapeutic and safe environment. After completing this training, participants will be able to: 1. Identify common activating stimuli for behavioral outbursts in addiction treatment settings. 2. Identify de-escalation techniques tailored to individuals facing self-regulation challenges. 3. Develop effective communication strategies to defuse tense situations and build rapport with clients.
