Course overview

Abuse and neglect can occur in healthcare settings, home environments, workplaces, and institutions. Vulnerable individuals, children, older adults, individuals with disabilities, and dependent persons are at the highest risk. Preventing abuse and neglect is essential for ensuring dignity, safety, and well being. Healthcare workers, caregivers, and the general public must be educated on recognizing and reporting abuse to prevent harm and protect at-risk individuals.
