Treating Patients with Chinese Medicine Who Are Taking Western Meds

Course overview

This is an Audio Course. There are a huge number of patients treated with integrated Chinese-Western medicine in China over the last 50 years. Drawing on the huge body of literature documenting these outcomes, this class will teach practitioners of Chinese medicine the skills they need to safely treat patients on Western meds. The course discusses a three part system for evaluating the Western meds using Chinese medicine principles, reframing the patient's Western medical disease diagnosis into the corresponding traditional Chinese disease categories and then forming a treatment plan based on these evaluations including how to handle adverse reactions and herxheimer reactions. Also covered is a three step process for opening the lines of communication with the Western prescribing physician(s).
