This course introduces the student to the important concept of Liver Depression Qi Stagnation, commonly known in the West as Liver Qi. The instructor discusses all the ways this disease mechanism arises and how it impacts all the viscera and bowels in the body once it develops. Also discussed are other patterns that develop from Liver Depression Qi Stagnation, common diseases in which this disease mechanism always appears, and the specific signs and symptoms that allow a practitioner to absolutely know when a patient is presenting it. Goals of this course: To introduce students to this most important of disease mechanisms To introduce students to the processes in the body by which this arises To acquaint students with all of the other patterns and disease mechanisms that develop from Liver Depression Qi Stagnation and have it as their root. To acquaint students with all the signs and symptoms they need to look for to corroborate the presence of this pattern.
