Course overview

Perinatal care is evolving, and acupuncturists play a critical role in improving maternal health outcomes. In this session, Dr. Deb Davies presents evidence-based TCM strategies to support pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. Participants will explore how acupuncture and herbal therapies address common perinatal challenges, enhance emotional well-being, support reproductive autonomy, and promote patient-centered care. Drawing from current U.S. birth statistics and emerging research, the course examines the impact of integrative care on reducing interventions and improving outcomes. Emphasis is placed on bedside manner, ethics, advocacy, and interprofessional collaboration.
