Endocrine diseases in dogs often present first through changes in the skin, yet these signs can be subtle, misleading, or confounded by concurrent dermatologic conditions. This program explores canine hypothyroidism and hypercortisolism from both internal medicine and dermatology perspectives, emphasizing how cutaneous findings can guide or complicate systemic diagnosis. Participants will review hallmark and overlapping dermatologic manifestations of endocrine disease, understand how infections, demodicosis, calcinosis cutis, and allergic disease influence diagnostic interpretation, and learn practical strategies for managing both cutaneous and systemic disease simultaneously.
