Course overview
This 24-hour advanced continuing education course provides EMTs and Paramedics with specialized training in dive medicine and hyperbaric emergency recognition. Topics include diving physics, decompression theory, Arterial Gas Embolism (AGE), Decompression Sickness (Type I & II), pulmonary barotrauma, immersion pulmonary edema, oxygen toxicity, and dive-specific neurological assessment. Emphasis is placed on differential diagnosis, high-concentration oxygen therapy, and evacuation decision-making. Online, asynchronous format. No psychomotor skills component.
