Course overview

Pain is the body's way of alerting someone there is something wrong. There are different types of pain, and each experience of pain is unique. To provide competent care, nurses must be knowledgeable about pain management. In this course, we will define pain and describe different types of pain. We will review pain assessment, outline how to set pain goals with patients, and identify current treatments for pain management.
