Course overview

This CPR course is current with evidence-based procedures for responding to sudden cardiac arrest. Participants review how to rapidly assess the need for CPR, activate emergency response systems, and deliver high-quality chest compressions and ventilations. Instruction includes hands-only CPR, adult and pediatric protocols, and proper use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Two focused first aid topics are also included, covering emergency management of swallowed disc (button) batteries, including pediatric considerations and drowning response.
