*This listing is for the on-demand recording. Gait requires eccentric muscle activity prior to components that are concentric and isometric allowing for faster more efficient gait patterns needed for long term health benefits. Despite the fact that a lesion's location, severity and size impact corticospinal output which predominantly drives motor recovery, there are opportunities to improve movement strategies needed for efficient and effective gait. This short course focuses on range of motion and strength examination components to confirm deficits in volitional movement and thereafter, uses the principles of FITT-CORRECT to develop specific therapeutic interventions consisting of activities with the AFO on and off to improve foot drop.
