Upon completion, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the pathophysiology and types of stroke (ischemic vs. hemorrhagic).

2. Recognize early warning signs and symptoms to ensure timely intervention.

3. Identify risk factors and preventative strategies.

4. Outline acute management protocols, including current pharmaceutical treatments.

5. Implement evidence-based post-stroke care strategies, including rehabilitation and secondary prevention.

6. Evaluate patient safety concerns and complications post-stroke.

7. Educate patients and caregivers on lifestyle modifications and ongoing management.
