Course overview
This presentation aims to equip therapy professionals with working knowledge of Alzheimers disease and related dementias (ADRD), integrating this understanding with core rehabilitation principles to design and implement effective interventions for individuals living with dementia and their care partners. Through the use of case studies and facilitated discussion, participants will develop and apply evidence based strategies that enhance quality of life and demonstrate the value of the rehabilitation professional within dementia care. Additionally, the course will strengthen practitioners competence in clinical documentation and empower them to advocate for expanded dementia-related services across diverse practice settings. Course instruction method includes: Lecture, videos, Case studies, and Question/Answer.
