Course Description: This continuing education course provides an in-depth review of evidence-based strategies to prevent intimate partner violence (IPV) using a public health framework. Drawing from the CDCs IPV Prevention Resource for Action, participants will examine risk and protective factors across the socioecological model, primary prevention strategies, policy and environmental approaches, cross-sector collaboration, and the integration of health equity principles. Emphasis is placed on implementation, evaluation, and measurable outcomes to reduce the incidence and impact of IPV in healthcare and community settings. This course is appropriate for intermediate and advanced-level practitioners who wish to learn more about intimate partner violence. It is also a good resource for licensed therapists who need IPV continuing education for license renewal.
