This program helps chemical dependency professionals understand the nature and dynamics of conflict, and trains them to use mediation as a method to resolve conflict. As a dispute resolution tool, mediation is built on interest-based negotiation theory. Its goal is agreements that are mutually acceptable to all parties involved in a dispute.
