Clinical Management of Dengue Fever

Course overview

This course discusses dengue fever. The course will begin with the cause and transmission of dengue fever and information on why the Government of Puerto Rico has recently announced a state of emergency (global importance). This course also provides a detailed synopsis of the incubation period, the typical timing of symptom onset, and the most common symptoms. Diagnostic testing and a description of severe cases (including any further symptoms) will follow. Treatment and prevention will also be discussed.
