Course overview

This training supports school based and clinical professionals in strengthening LGBTQ affirming practices within programs and services. Participants will review key challenges impacting LGBTQ youth and apply evidence informed strategies to promote safety, belonging, and identity affirmation in educational and community settings. Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to: 1. Identify key challenges and risk factors affecting LGBTQ youth in school and community based settings. 2. Apply practical, affirming strategies to support LGBTQ students and clients within programs and services. 3. Utilize inclusive support frameworks, including district level guidance, to strengthen safe and affirming environments.
