Course overview

This course provides acupuncturists with the practical knowledge and tools to integrate modern imaging techniques into clinical practice with confidence and safety. Participants will explore the differences and applications of X-Ray, MRI, MRA, PET, CT, Ultrasound, and Thermography in the assessment of head and neck disorders, linking imaging findings to TCM pattern differentiation. The course highlights common disorders in acupuncture practice that may require imaging, explains red flag referrals, and emphasizes accurate documentation of imaging results in the SOAP note. Additionally, students will learn how imaging findings can inform treatment decisions, enhance clinical communication, and support medical coding and billing processes.
