Course overview

This is an online Medical Errors course for Certified Podiatric X-Ray Assistants licensed in the state of Florida. The Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA) is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. FPMA has approved this activity for a maximum of two (2.0) continuing education contact hours (CECH). This course consists of a video presentation and a post-test. The learner must earn a passing score of at least 70% on the post-test in order to receive 2.0 CECH for this course. This course was originally recorded during the FPMA 2025 Summer Conference. The course instructor is Joseph Brooks, Esq. He attended the University of Florida College of Law where he graduated first in his class with high honors. He is currently the managing partner of Brooks Law in Tallahassee, Florida, where he specializes in medical malpractice defense. Joseph's work has appeared in several law publications over the years and he has lectured to professionals for seminars around the United States and Canada on numerous legal and medical topics. Mr. Brooks has no personal financial relationship with a commercial interest producing health care goods or services in reference to this activity.
