Clinical Efficiency: Improving Outcomes and Reducing Burnout through Efficient Practice Patterns

Course overview

Clinicians in physical therapy are experiencing burnout at an alarming rate, while demands on their time continue to increase. However, efficiency is sometimes a taboo topic amongst clinicians. This course will make the case that efficient practice is not only healthier for us as physical therapists but can improve patient outcomes. In doing so, we will explore and learn from domains outside of physical therapy in an effort to understand efficiency. We will discuss sports, finance, gambling, psychology, pilots and more to help us shape efficient practice patterns without sacrificing quality
