The Reading House incorporates book-based literacy skills screening into Early Childhood and Pediatric settings to promote kindergarten readiness and help pediatricians and educators identify children at risk for reading difficulties early on. Join a free educational series led by Dr. John S. Hutton, pediatrician, researcher, and literacy advocate. Known for groundbreaking MRI research on early brain development, reading, and screen media, Dr. Hutton brings science-backed insights that support language, connection, and healthy development in young children. Founder of the Blue Manatee Literacy Project and author of widely distributed children's health-literacy books, he shares practical guidance for families and individuals from all backgrounds.
