Dyslipidemia: (abnormal levels of lipids in the blood) Diagnosis, Pharmacologic Management & Lifestyle Interventions

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:

1. Define dyslipidemia and its types, including hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and mixed dyslipidemia.

2. Identify risk factors and populations at high risk for dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disease.

3. Conduct comprehensive lipid assessments and interpret laboratory results.

4. Implement pharmacologic interventions, including statins, fibrates, PCSK9 inhibitors, and combination therapy.

5. Apply evidence-based lifestyle interventions, including nutrition, exercise, and weight management.

6. Educate patients on adherence to therapy and lifestyle modifications.
