Foodborne Illnesses: Prevention, Recognition & Treatment

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:

1. Identify common pathogens responsible for foodborne illnesses.

2. Recognize the clinical signs and symptoms associated with different foodborne infections.

3. Implement evidence-based preventive measures to reduce the risk of contamination.

4. Apply appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies for affected patients.

5. Understand pharmacologic interventions when indicated, including hydration and antibiotics.

6. Educate patients and caregivers on safe food handling, preparation, and storage practices.
