Course overview

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by systemic inflammation, joint pain, and progressive joint destruction. Advances in pharmacologic therapies, particularly biologics and targeted synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), have transformed RA management and improved patient outcomes. This course provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of RA pathophysiology, evidence-based treatment strategies, pharmacologic considerations, and nursing interventions. Emphasis is placed on early recognition, individualized therapy, patient education, and monitoring for treatment-related complications.
