Course overview

This course provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of withdrawal syndromes associated with commonly misused substances, including alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and stimulants. Emphasis is placed on early recognition, clinical assessment, and evidence-based pharmacologic management to reduce complications and improve patient outcomes. The course also explores safe detoxification practices, risk factors for severe withdrawal, and interdisciplinary approaches to care
