Course overview

This course for rehabilitation therapy providers addresses the interdisciplinary management of adults with executive function impairment in inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing settings. Learners will examine how the interprofessional team collaborates to address cognitive and functional deficits through coordinated treatment planning. Evidence-based interventions, including metacognitive strategy training, compensatory approaches, and dual-task training, are emphasized to enhance independence, safety, and goal attainment. The course is intended for intermediate-level learners who have foundational knowledge of executive function disorders.
