Course overview

In this presentation, an overview of the DSM-5-TR criteria for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and OCD-related disorders will be discussed. Participants will learn about the specific patterns and behaviors of clients with OCD as well as learn about different types of reassurance seeking behaviors. Counselor considerations will be discussed when working with client\'s who experience OCD-related symptoms. Finally, evidenced-based strategies for treating adult clients with OCD will be reviewed. Learning Objectives include: 1. Understand the DSM-5-TR criteria for Obsessive Compulsive-Related Disorders. 2. Recognize and describe specific behaviors and patterns related to OCD. 3. Learn different evidenced based strategies to treat OCD related diagnoses that are supported by scholarly research
