Advanced Echocardiography

Course overview

This is an immersive three-day course focused on advanced echocardiography. Lectures cover scanning, echocardiographic diagnosis, using Echo for disease staging, and principles of patient management. It will cover advanced aspects of imaging and cardiovascular medicine. Two scanning laboratory periods will help participants with their own imaging challenges or learn new techniques. The course does not review ultrasound basics or physics (aside from how these relate to instrumentation, obtaining quality images, and recognizing artifacts). Participants will learn how to integrate imaging with aspects of medical management, while building a stronger understanding of clinical cardiology and echocardiographic diagnosis.
