In this program, students will learn the advantages CT has over radiography in evaluating canine and feline diseases of the head. Proper technique will be reviewed, covering patient positioning and technique parameters that will maximize diagnostic yield. Finally, cases commonly encountered in general practice will be used to introduce normal anatomy, interpretation strategies, and the appearance of disease on CT images. Focus will be given to equipping you with the knowledge to successfully integrate CT in your small animal veterinary practice-onsite or offsite and illustrate how CT offers a more satisfactory alternative to investigate many everyday conditions in the head.
