Course overview

Electroacupuncture combines traditional acupuncture needle insertion with controlled electrical stimulation. This course provides practitioners with a clear understanding of the physiological mechanisms and clinical principles underlying electroacupuncture treatment. Topics include peripheral nerve activation, mast cell signaling, spinal and central pain modulation pathways, and the role of endogenous opioids in electroacupuncture analgesia. Participants will also examine key electrical parameters such as frequency, pulse width, waveform, and stimulation intensity.
