This intermediate-level continuing education course provides nurses with evidence-based knowledge and practical skills to monitor, assess, and educate patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and asthma. Learners will explore disease pathophysiology, symptom monitoring, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic management, and patient-centered education strategies. Emphasis is placed on improving patient outcomes through early recognition of exacerbations, proper inhaler use, adherence strategies, and effective communication. Case-based scenarios and applied learning reinforce clinical decision-making in diverse care settings.
