Course overview

This case study follows a 61-year-old male with a one- to two-year history of progressively worsening left shoulder pain. Through systematic evaluation multiple overlapping impairments were identified including posterior capsule hypomobility rotator cuff and upper trapezius atrophy and scapular malposition. Treatment initially focused on restoring mobility and reducing irritability before progressing to targeted strengthening. This case challenges clinicians to identify and prioritise impairments and to communicate transparently with patients throughout their rehabilitation.
