Shoulder function depends on the coordinated movement of the scapula the thoracic spine and the glenohumeral joint. This course takes a systematic approach to scapular assessment beginning with the influence of the thoracic spine and rib cage on scapular position and mobility before focusing on the scapula itself. Through a combination of anatomy biomechanics and demonstrations this course presents a practical framework for identifying scapular dysfunction in shoulder rehabilitation.
