Course overview

This 3-contact hour continuing education course provides nurses with an intermediate-level understanding of common sleep disorders and evidence-based patient counseling strategies. Participants will explore the physiology of sleep, pathophysiology of major sleep disorders, diagnostic approaches, and pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments. Emphasis is placed on patient-centered counseling, behavioral interventions, and improving adherence to treatment plans.
