Course overview

This intermediate-level, asynchronous course provides essential knowledge and clinical application for nurses caring for maternal and newborn populations. Learners will review physiological changes in pregnancy, labor and delivery processes, postpartum care, and neonatal assessment. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based nursing interventions, patient safety, early recognition of complications, and family-centered care. By the end of the course, participants will be better prepared to support healthy outcomes for mothers and newborns across the perinatal continuum.
