During this course, participants will receive the most up-to-date information on urinary tract and gastrointestinal diseases with a focus on surgical management of both benign and malignant conditions. Lectures will be followed by laboratories that focus on having participants perform the same procedures that were highlighted during the lectures. At the end of this course, participants will be comfortable with many different urinary tract and gastrointestinal procedures, with a focus on procedures such as cystotomy, cystostomy tube placement, urethrostomy, gastrotomy, biopsy, enterotomy, intestinal resection and anastomosis, local flaps, digit amputation, and vulvoplasty.
