Pain contributes to profound mental distress and substance abuse. One third to one half of the adult population deals with pain in their life. Pain medications may be as much as 70% of the gateway to the Opioid Abuse Crisis. Learn pain management tools can be used preventatively and to assist in preventing addiction and relapse. Pain management historically has been within the realm of clinical practices by using many anxiety type methods. The Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Tapping sends a calming signal to the brain to relieve the aroused pain and emotion sensing amygdala. Prominent traumatologists endorse adding mind-body, cognitive somatic approaches to treatment. These same approaches have shown to have tremendous benefit for non- medication pain release. Learn EFT tapping and add to them several evidence-based, neurologically informed, mind-body methods to quiet the neurological landscape. This workshop is highly experiential and has the hope of a live demonstration.
